Rosario Isabel Dawson is an American actress. Her feature film debut came in the independent drama Kids in 1995. She went on to appear in films such as He Got Game, Josie and the Pussycats, Men in Black II, Rent, Sin City, and Clerks II, among others.
Dawson is also well-known for his roles in comic book movies and television adaptations. Rosario Isabel Dawson was born on May 9, 1979, in New York City. Rosario was born while her mother, Isabel Celeste, was 16, and her biological father, Patrick C. Harris, was not present. Isabel married a construction worker called Greg Dawson when Rosario was a year old. They gave Rosario a half-brother called Clay three years later.

Dawson was a child when he appeared briefly on Sesame Street. Photographers Larry Clark and Harmony Korine discovered her on her front porch step when she was 15 years old. Korine believed she’d be ideal for a part he’d written for the controversial 1995 film Kids. She went on to perform a variety of roles in films, both minor and large, including Rent, He Got Game and Men in Black II.
Dawson appeared alongside Edward Norton in Spike Lee’s film 25th Hour (2002). She portrayed Roxana, Alexander the Great’s wife, in Oliver Stone’s 2004 film Alexander. Dawson made her stage debut in 2005 as Julia in the revival of “Shakespeare in the Park” at the Public Theater.
In 2010, she portrayed Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief’s Persephone and Unstoppable’s Connie, the railway yardmaster.
