Early Life
Zac Efron was born in San Luis Obispo, California, on October 18, 1987. His parents both worked at a power plant. He has one brother. Efron says he had a very normal childhood and was raised in a middle-class home with no religion. He tried very hard in school and was upset whenever he didn’t get a “A” on his report card.
Zac’s father encourages him to start acting when he is young, and he often takes part in school plays. Efron graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 2006. He was accepted to the University of Southern California, but he chose to go to the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts instead.
Career
Zac Efron’s career, starting with his minor roles on TV shows such as ER and Firefly. His breakthrough role came in 2006 with the release of High School Musical, which made him popular among teen audiences.
Efron continued to star in successful musicals like Hairspray and the High School Musical sequels before branching out to more mature roles in films like Me and Orson Welles, Charlie St. Cloud, and The Paperboy.
