Lisa Vanderpump Responds to Rachel Leviss’ Remarks on the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Set Requiring Therapy Support
Rachel Leviss’s statement that she won’t return to Vanderpump Rules unless the show pays for her therapy has Lisa Vanderpump perplexed.
According to The Shahab, the 63-year-old Vanderpump remarked, “She said that, but I think she has had a therapist on hand the whole time through filming,” in order to promote her new floral line, Vanderpump Blooms x Bloom Haus, which will be available at Kroger stores starting on September 4.
“I believe Bravo is very aware of that,” she said. “They say somebody is available for you to talk to even when you’re filming.” “Well, I’m not really sure what that means.”
In response to Vanderpump’s remarks, Leviss, 29, sent a statement through her representative to Us.
The statement said, “To be clear, Rachel has no interest in returning to the show, and the quote was taken out of context.”
“Rather than creating the potential of such a situation, she was illustrating its impossibility. Regarding the workplace throughout her tenure, it is untrue that she or her fellow cast members were provided with mental health assistance.
Season 11 of VPR, which debuted earlier this year, did not feature Leviss back because of the consequences from her affair with co-star Tom Sandoval during the time he was dating Ariana Madix. Prior to her return to the Bravo reality series, Leviss exclusively told Us earlier this month that she would want “all expenses-paid therapy.”
It’s not a healthy dynamic, therefore I’m not sure if I see a way ahead,” she remarked. “I’m attempting to live a genuine life and to safeguard my mental health.”
Since the adultery affair, Leviss has grown distant from her former VPR costars, and Vanderpump finds it impossible to imagine a scenario in which she could reunite with them.
“Welcoming someone into an environment [like this] is difficult. You can never say never, as I often say. However, Vanderpump clarified, “she’s said a lot of bad things about NBC, producers, and Vanderpump Rules. Thus, I believe it is safe to declare that the ship has sailed.
Sandoval, 42, remained a cast member and made an effort to mend his damaged relationships with his costars, including Tom Schwartz and Scheana Shay, while Leviss left the show after season 10.
As Madix, 39, was “thriving” and Sandoval was “kind of floundering,” Vanderpump told Us that she “tried to facilitate some kind of cohesion” between Sandoval and the group during season 11.
She said that Madix’s success after the scandal—she and Sandoval called it quits in March 2023—had been “the greatest revenge.” Since then, Madix has made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, placed third on Dancing With the Stars, and secured a hosting role on Love Island USA.
Vanderpump remarked, “She didn’t get mad, she just got even,” adding that at first she “thought [Madix] would become the victim” of the circumstance. “I’m hoping she can find a space in her life to release her resentment.
Then, I believe, you may truly sense that you’ve moved on. However, I believe she did a great job, and I supported her the entire time.
When Vanderpump was asked to select flowers for different cast members, he made jokes about the chemistry of the group. She said she would send Madix “yellow roses, for hope,” but she isn’t in the mood to be especially giving to Sandoval just now.
I may send him some weeds at this very moment. I’ll inform you,” she joked.
Despite the jokes, Vanderpump is passionate about her new floral line.
I think it’s clear that I’ve always had a strong affection for flowers. Regarding Villa Blanca and Sur, two of her restaurants, “you would see me kind of arranging these huge arrangements in the beginning of [The Real] Housewives [of Beverly Hills],” she remarked.
“Flowers have always been my love.” I’m in a phase of life where I’m fully dedicated to pursuing my passion projects.
