The second season of HBO Max’s Sex and the City revival series, And Just Like That, will star Carrie Bradshaw and her female friends. Fans have been waiting for new information ever since the show was renewed for Season 2 back in March.

When we last saw Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), she had just become a widow and was searching for closure after Mr. Big’s passing (Chris Noth). After a failed first attempt, she finally appeared open to dating again, and Paris seemed to be the place to look for it. New character storylines gave Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) new perspectives as they dealt with significant life transitions within their families.

The unresolved issues from Season 1 will likely be continued in Season 2, including whether Miranda follows Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez) to California for her sitcom job. Also reportedly joining the cast for the upcoming season is an old flame.

Some looks from the upcoming season have recently been shared on the show’s Instagram account, including a lavish ensemble worn by Charlotte (Kristin Davis). The actress’s striped bustled skirt, patent leather bustier, and netted top hat give the impression that she could be attending the most stylish Mad Hatter tea party ever.

Sarah Jessica Parker also shared a photo of a look from Carrie Bradshaw’s closet, complete with a JW Anderson pigeon clutch.

The series received a renewal from HBO Max in March 2022. The head of original content for HBO Max, Sarah Aubrey, said, “We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.” “Michael Patrick King, our fantastic writers, producers, cast, and crew worked hard to bring these stories to the big screen, and we are so proud of them. The spinoff series will return in 2023, HBO Max recently announced, without providing any additional details. Hopefully soon Carrie will be walking around the Upper East Side in her Manolo Blahniks.

HBO Even though Max hasn’t said which cast members will be back for Season 2, it’s safe to assume that the three leading ladies will be back. The big news comes from Deadline, which recently reported that another Sex and the City OG, John Corbett, will return to the series to play Aiden Shaw, Carrie’s ex-fiance. How much Aiden will reenter Carrie’s life is yet to be determined. Will she attempt to pursue a relationship with the hot furniture maker once she is no longer married? It might work the third time.

We can assume that Kim Cattrall won’t be playing Samantha in Season 2 of And Just Like That… because she famously severed ties with the SATC franchise and wasn’t involved in Season 1. Chris Noth won’t either because his Mr. Big character was eliminated at the start of Season 1. (and a cameo appearance in the finale episode of S1 was cut after sexual assault allegations came out against the actor).

Time will tell if new characters Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker), Nya (Karen Pittman), and Seema (Sarita Choudhury) will also make a comeback in supporting roles. With the exception of the divisive Che Diaz, portrayed by Sara Ramirez, who seemed to leave everyone with a bitter taste in their mouth for some reason, the majority of the characters from the revival seemed to connect with fans.
