Season 2 of “Dirty John” is now on Netflix, almost a year after it first aired in the USA. Like many actual crime anthology shows, the second season of this show has nothing to do with the first. However, both seasons are about how relationships can become toxic.
The first season was based on a podcast with the same name. It was about John Meehan (Eric Bana) and how he met and married Debra Newell (Connie Britton) within a month of meeting her. John dies at the end of the season, and the rest of the season explains what led to his death and how his manipulative behavior affected Debra’s whole family.
In the second season of “Dirty John,” Amanda Peet played Betty Broderick, who was married to Daniel for 20 years (Christian Slater). In the second season, the focus is on determining why Betty killed her ex-husband and his new wife. As the current season of “Dirty John” ends, many viewers wonder if there will be more.
When Will Season 3 of Dirty John Come Out?
“Dirty John” was given a two-season order when it was first announced. Now that the first season is over, it’s unclear whether the show will come back for another season. The USA has not yet made an official statement about whether or not the show will be on air.
“Dirty John” had a great second life when it was put on Netflix, just like many cable dramas that eventually make it there. So, it’s possible that Netflix would pick up “Dirty John” if the USA decided it was no longer interested in making more episodes.

Who Is in Season 3 of Dirty John?

The story that a third season would tell would ultimately decide the cast. Since real people were in the first two seasons, the third season would probably do the same. Even though makeup can do amazing things, and it’s not necessary to look like real people if they aren’t famous, “Dirty John” might cast its third season based at least in part on the real people at the center of its plot. This level of sincerity has made the show seem even more real.

Showrunner Alexandra Cunningham discussed the potential continuation of the previous season’s thread in Dirty John Season 3 in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. We initially had a two-season renewal, but I knew that John Meehan had passed away. Seasons would be connected by the theme of “love went bad,” Betty has been in my thoughts ever before I decided I wanted to be a writer.

“Mother-child relationships and sibling relationships, not romantic love, a pair, a boyfriend-girlfriend like in the first season, or a married couple getting divorced. I believe that the love that comes from parents, especially when it is inappropriate, twisted, or unreal, is when love goes wrong. This is undoubtedly one factor that influences how individuals behave in the future. If I had the chance, I’d love to investigate that.
