Elder Scrolls 6: What is it Gameplay and Location?
There isn’t much new information about The Elder Scrolls 6 for 2022, and we don’t expect there to be any for some time. This is due to the fact that the game is probably still in its early stages of development.
However, Bethesda is concentrating on releasing Starfield first, which is scheduled for release in the first half of 2023, so we shouldn’t anticipate The Elder Scrolls 6 until much later.
Because of this, there isn’t much information available about what to anticipate from the game, though we can engage in some speculation. Here is what is known about The Elder Scrolls 6 as of right now.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Outlook
It’s difficult to forecast The Elder Scrolls 6m’s future because there is so little reliable information available. But we would certainly welcome another epic fantasy open-world game from Bethesda.
And now that Bethesda Game Studios is a part of Microsoft, it’s possible that the company’s developer division will greatly benefit from Microsoft’s technology, tools, and expertise, resulting in a new Elder Scrolls game that could be incredibly polished and massive when it launches.
The Release Date for The Elder Scrolls 6 is Unknown.
Showcase of Xbox and Bethesda games The Elder Scrolls 6 was not mentioned at the 2022 showcase; instead, Starfield, a major open-world game, received all of the attention.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is still in the early stages of development, which means that its release is most likely several years away. It may even take some time before a significant trailer or game footage is released. We estimate that it will be 2024 before we learn anything concrete about a release date.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Gameplay and Location
All Elder Scrolls games take place on the imaginary continent of Tamriel, with the most recent titles—Morrowind in The Elder Scrolls 3; Cyrodill in The Elder Scrolls 4; and Skyrim in The Elder Scrolls 5—taking place in particular countries on the continent. There hasn’t yet been a single-player Elder Scrolls game that reached Valenwood or Black Marsh, the respective homelands of Wood Elves and Argonians.
However, based on the mountains in the trailer, it has been suggested that the game may take place in Hammerfell, the homeland of the Redguard, or High Rock, the home of the mage-centric Bretons. The Elder Scrolls 6 is simply the title of the game, which may also cover several of Tamriel’s provinces. We haven’t received any hints about gameplay yet. But we can assume that it will embrace the open-world combat and first-person (and occasionally third-person) exploration of the previous Elder Scrolls games. We only hope that The Elder Scrolls 6 will feature more dynamic combat and spellcasting that works better with the surroundings.

Speaking of the open-world regions, it would be nice to have more options there, such as the ability to build a stronghold or make a bigger impact on the world. For instance, if you planted a tree in the game, it might eventually grow over time. We also insist that Bethesda find a way to avoid having NPCs repeat themselves. We’re sick of hearing guards brag about how they were intrepid travellers until they were wounded by arrows in the lower body. In summary, we anticipate The Elder Scrolls 6 to be a significant improvement over Skyrim while fundamentally remaining an Elder Scrolls game.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Trailer
The Elder Scrolls 6 has just one trailer, and it doesn’t reveal much about the title. The only information we received about the game was its basic title and a broad shot of some mountains; no game footage or other information was ever revealed. The soundtrack was a parody of the well-known theme that has appeared in the last few Elder Scrolls games.
Despite the trailer’s lack of details, Elder Scrolls fans can’t help but be excited when they see it. We still recall how the first Skyrim trailers sent fans of open-world role-playing games into a frenzy.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Platforms
It’s looking almost certain that The Elder Scrolls 6 will be restricted to just Xbox consoles and Windows 10 PCs, following in the footsteps of Starfield, whereas Skyrim may have been a multi-platform behemoth of a game.
Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, gave credence to this when he stated to GQ(opens in new tab) that: “Since I firmly believe that all platforms can keep expanding, it is not about punishing any other platforms. But I want us to be able to bring the whole package of what we have in order to be on Xbox. And when I consider Elder Scrolls VI, that would be accurate. That would be accurate if I were to consider any of our franchises.”

Therefore, Spencer has all but confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 won’t be available on the PlayStation 5. That might disappoint some, but the PS5 has plenty of upcoming exclusive games of its own. Furthermore, if you can find both consoles, this circumstance provides a strong justification for having them.
Rich mod support is one benefit of the PC version of the game, which contributes to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s continued playability today.
