Four More Shots Please Season 3: Has the Show Changed Its Story Theme?
The ladies have returned, but not with a bang. The third season continues the story of Anjana (Kirti Kulhari), Riddhi (Maanvi Gaagroo), Umang (Bani J), and Damini (Sayani Gupta) while also teaching Instagram-friendly life lessons like’real queens fix each other’s crowns.’ The routine is the same this season, with one major exception: Damini has crossed a line by selecting Jeh (Prateik Babbar) last season.
After watching the first three episodes of Season 3 of Four More Shots Please, I realised that the creators appear to have taken note of the criticism levelled at the show’s sexiness. Perhaps it’s simply because three of the four friends are currently single. Let’s see what else the season has in store for us.
This season, however, Umang may be the star because the producers finally decided to give her a studio and a purpose rather than just hair and tattoos. The best friends travel to Ludhiana, Umang’s hometown, but unlike their trip to Istanbul in season 2, this trip serves a purpose-confrontation, answers, and love.
Four More Shots Please! Season 3 Review: What’s It About:
When we last saw Damini (Saiyani), Umang (Baani), Anjana (Kirti), and Siddhi (Maanvi), they were all broken. They continue to be so in the new season, attempting to mend themselves but breaking even more. Though there is no sad ending this time, there is still much to discuss.
Four More Shots Please! Season 3 Review: What Works:
After watching season 3 of the show, which is stuck in a rut and refuses to evolve, I was reminded of the first season, which was about women unapologetically claiming what was already theirs but was made to appear otherwise by patriarchy. The right to choose a partner, the right to one’s own body, or even the right to choose a profession without being discriminated against because of one’s gender. Even with a pop culture treatment of the material, the message was clearly conveyed. The second season, on the other hand, was subpar.

Season 3 has more drawbacks than advantages. But first, let’s look at the advantages. Four more attempts Please is known for its unapologetic demeanour and complete disregard for the societal gaze. Four women are living their lives as they see fit, and judgement isn’t bothering them because they have bigger problems. Season 3 manages to keep that essence while also attempting to add some more secondary conversations.
While the season focuses on the lives of its four main characters, it also deviates to tell the stories of the people in their lives. Simone plays Maanvi’s mother, who is more sympathetic to her daughter this time around. She has undergone a total transformation and is now vulnerable. As her husband dies, every man she knows wants a piece of her. How does she navigate and make sense of her surroundings?
Another amazing theme explored by the show is the impact of modern relationships and their breakdown on children. How are they supposed to deal with the possibility that their parents will bring in their respective partners? What are they supposed to call their parents, and what is their relationship with the new members?
There are important questions that are explored through the unfiltered tonality of writer Devika Bhagat, Ishita Nandy, and creator Rangita Nandy.

Four More Shots Please! Season 3 Review: Star Performance:
On the sets of Four More Shots Please, the four ladies live their best lives. That is evident in their performances, as they are content with their roles and play them without the need to overpower one another. While the script fails to provide her with the arc she deserves, Kirti Kulhari does her best with what she’s given, leaving you wondering what if she had been given much more.
The best part is that Bani J isn’t trying to be anyone else. There’s a meta vibe here that blurs the line between her reel and real self, and it works well. Sayani Gupta is caught in a breathing bind between two men. Speaking of men, Rohan Mehra appears to be impressive here, and do I need to mention that Pratik Babbar is one of the show’s highlights? Neil Bhoopalam plays the cuckoo with ease and conviction.
Conclusion
Four More Shots, please! returns for a third season. The show follows Anjana (Kirti Kulhari), Riddhi (Maanvi Gaagroo), Umang (Bani J), and Damini’s lives (Sayani Gupta). It is known for its unapologetic demeanour and complete disregard for societal scrutiny. This time, there is no sad ending; there is still much to talk about.
