Jean-Luc Picard is featured in the third and final season of the American television series Star Trek: Picard as he reunites with the old crew of the USS Enterprise. Terry Matalas serves as showrunner for the season, which is produced by CBS Studios in collaboration with Secret Hideout, Weed Road Pictures, and Roddenberry Entertainment.
As Picard, Patrick Stewart returns from Star Trek: The Next Generation and other Star Trek properties. Starring alongside Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd are returning cast members LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, and Brent Spiner. Plot
Q (John de Lancie) shows us a binary future in season 2 of Picard where the Federation has been supplanted by a ruthless, controlling human society that seeks to wipe out all other alien cultures. Discovering the first form of sentient life, which Picard’s ancestors did, is crucial to the survival of Earth as we know it.
In contrast, geneticist Adam Soong (Brent Spiner) is on a mission to stop those who would use genetic engineering to gain control over humanity. After Soong’s defeat, he takes out a folder labeled “Project Khan,” implying that he has some sort of role in the future being rescued.
We may not know where Khan came from, but we do know that he and his group of enhanced humans were participants in the Eugenics War. As much as Picard’s actions in season 2 may have stopped the bigoted human Confederation from ever coming into existence, they may have also been responsible for the birth of one of Star Trek’s most dangerous antagonists.
However, while we know that Amanda Plummer’s Vadic is set to be the primary antagonist of Season 3 of Picard, we still don’t know much about her backstory. Some believe that Doctor Soong’s “Project Khan” was the impetus for the birth of Vadic. It’s possible that some event from season 2 has fueled her desire for vengeance against Picard.

Picard’s trip to the past in season 2 may have also affected recurring characters. Data and his evil twin brother Lore were created when Doctor Adam Soong’s descendant experimented with the building of a positronic brain. We know Lore is back since we saw it in the teaser, but the how and the why remain unknown. Capt.
Picard may need the most cunning brains in the galaxy to assist him to foil this enemy plot. When it comes to Adam Soong’s and his family’s research, Lore is in a position like no other. It’s possible that Picard put back together Lore to aid him in his battle against Vadic. Alternatively, Vadic may have tracked down Lore and dispatched him to go after Picard.
